TL;DR

  • Your stuff is yours. We don't own or read your boards, notes, or brilliant ideas.
  • Don't be a jerk. No hacking, no spamming, no illegal shenanigans. You'll get a foot up your ass and no refunds.
  • AI included with Pro. Free users bring their own API keys. Pro users get it on the house.
  • Payments go through Polar/Stripe. We never see your card details.
  • You can bail anytime. Delete your account in settings. We'll be sad but we'll cope.
  • Finnish law applies. We're based in Finland. Enjoy the worlds most comprehensive consumer protection. Want a foot massage?

1. Introduction

Welcome to Zenban. These Terms of Service govern your use of our service. By creating an account or using Zenban, you agree to these terms.

Zenban is operated by Hexagon Intergalactic Ltd, a company registered in Finland. If you have questions, contact us at support@zenban.net.

2. What Zenban Is

Zenban is a voice-centric Kanban application that helps you organize tasks. You can capture tasks using voice or text, organize them on boards, and optionally use AI features to break tasks into smaller steps.

3. Your Account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Zenban.
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • One person or legal entity per account. Sharing accounts is not allowed.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

4. Your Content

You own the content you create in Zenban (boards, lists, notes). We don't claim any ownership over your content.

By using Zenban, you grant us permission to store, display, and process your content as needed to provide the service. We won't use your content for any other purpose without your consent.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Zenban for anything illegal or to violate anyone's rights.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the security of Zenban.
  • Use automated systems to access Zenban without permission.

6. AI Features

Zenban offers optional AI features like task breakdown and voice transcription.

  • Pro subscribers: AI features are included. We provide the AI models and handle the infrastructure.
  • Free users: You can use AI features by providing your own API key from OpenAI or Google. Your keys are encrypted and stored securely, but you're responsible for managing your API provider account and any costs.
  • When you use AI features, your content is sent to AI providers (OpenAI or Google) for processing under their terms.
  • We don't guarantee the accuracy or quality of AI-generated content.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Zenban offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Payments are processed by Polar.sh using Stripe.

  • Subscriptions are billed annually and renew automatically unless cancelled.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through the settings page.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you have concerns.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes won't affect your current billing period.

8. Service Changes

We're constantly improving Zenban. This means we may add, change, or remove features. We'll try to give notice for significant changes, but we can't always guarantee this.

We may also suspend or terminate the service entirely, though we'll provide reasonable notice and help you export your data if this happens.

9. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the settings page.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We'll try to give you notice and a chance to fix issues, except in cases of serious violations.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

Zenban is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly and securely, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the app. Continued use of Zenban after changes means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved in Finnish courts, unless you're a consumer entitled to use the courts of your country of residence.
